We only collect anonymized, non-personal data necessary for maintaining and improving the service:

  • **Usage Analytics (Anonymized):** We use a privacy-focused tool (like Plausible or self-hosted analytics) to track page visits, button clicks, and general browser type. This data cannot be traced back to an individual user.
  • **Performance Metrics:** Anonymized data on the speed and success rate of the OCR engine (e.g., "OCR completed successfully in 3.4 seconds"). This helps us improve the core engine.
  • **Error Reporting:** Non-identifying technical logs if an error occurs, containing only the error code and stack trace.

  • **TLS/SSL Encryption:** Our website is served over HTTPS to ensure a secure connection between your browser and our server for the initial file download.

  • **Zero-Trust Architecture:** Since the most sensitive operation (OCR) occurs on your side, server-side breach risks related to document content are eliminated.

We intentionally limit third-party scripts to maximize privacy and speed:
